Corys Environment and Taka Solutions launch joint venture devoted to reducing UAE’s energy consumption
Aim to reduce UAE’s energy consumption by 20%
Based in UAE, the joint venture will combine Taka Solutions’ technical expertise with the financial strength of Corys Environment, to help reduce the world’s energy consumption and carbon output by 20% using technology and engineering in buildings and homes. Their comprehensive energy efficiency solutions will aim to reduce energy-related expenditures, in turn providing positive economic, environmental and societal impact.
Commenting on this, Charles Blaschke, Managing Director of Taka Energy Services, said: “Our mission is to reduce the world’s energy consumption by 20%, and with such a mission come many barriers, like those related to budgets. By offering fully financed, turnkey energy efficiency retrofits, we remove that barrier – and our partnership with Corys Environment has made this possible. This new stage of our company and partnership will allow us to offer larger financing, deeper retrofits, and will eventually help save more energy, carbon and money for our clients. We are positive that the partnership between Corys Environment and Taka Solutions is going to change the energy and investment landscape of the UAE in the years to come.”
Taka Energy Services will use an innovative paid-from-savings business model, with no capital cost for customers. All costs will be paid for from the savings generated from the project.
David Auriau, CEO of Corys Environment, added: “We are very happy to partner with Taka Solutions, a company with strong technical expertise and a great sense of entrepreneurship. This new initiative is fully in line with Corys Environment’s positioning of investing into the green economy for a sustainable development of the UAE and the region. Investing into energy conservation through the creation of our new company Taka Energy Services is another step in that direction.”
Corys Environment was established with the aim of investing in best-in-class solutions to address the environmental challenges in the Middle East.
